Mini Breathing Device
This small apparatus is deisgned to be used in the event that a rebreather is not available. Bond is given the device by Q, who cautions him that it will only provide up to four minutes of air. (Dispite this, Bond miraculously uses it throughout the under water battle.) The device, which saves Bond's life in Largo's shark pool, retracts into a convenient pocket size' according the Q. 'Assuming one has a convenient pocket,' responds the cynical 007. The British military was so impressed by this gadget that they approached the film-makers for the technical data - only to be told that the unit did not actually work and was only as effective as the user's capability to hold his breath.
Q gives Bond an expensive Breitling watch which houses a geiger counter, thus enabling Bond to detect the bombs concealed the secret doors hidden within the hull of Largo's yacht, the Disco Volante.
Bond's spectacular escape from assassin Jacques Boitier's château in the pre-cretings sequence provides one of the most enduring sequences in any 007 epic: his use of the famed Bell Jet Pack. Developed for the US military, the device was employed by the producers for the scene in which Bond soars above the château, leaving his SPECTRE pursuers far behind. The one-man unit soars up to 600 feet in the air and could keep the user airborne for up to four minutes.
Allegedly one of the world's first underwater cameras, Bond is presented with this device which he uses to photograph the hidden doors in the hull of the Disco Volante. The camera has infared film which allows Bond to photograph in the absence of natural lighting, and can take eight photographs in rapid succession.
Underwater Propulsion Unit
This specially designed unit straps to Bond's oxygen tanks, propelling him underwater at a rapid pace. It is used extensively in the climactic battle with Largo. The unit also features high-velocity spear guns and a searchlight.
Radioactive Pill and Mini Flare
When hopelessly trapped in a cave, Bond swallows the pill which omit a radioactive signal. This alerts Leiter, who rescues 007 after seeing the flare, thus thwarting Largo's plan to bomb Miami Beach.
