Christoher Nolan has always been considered to direct a Bond film since his huge hits with the Batman series. He also comments that the Bond films were his inspiration for the film 'Inception'. Recently reports from the Daily Mail have heard rumours that Nolan is in talks with the Bond producers to helm Bond 24. It seems unlikely because Nolan is already commited to the film 'Interstellar' scheduled for a November 2014 release date. The Daily Mail commented ‘It does no harm for Broccoli and Wilson to talk with Nolan, even if nothing happens this time round.’ Would you like to see Christopher Nolan direct Bond 24? Let us know on Twitter (@the007bond) Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler has recently expressed enthusiasm in singing the title song for Bond 24. She reached the peak of her career in the 1980's with her #1 hit "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and has since gone on to write "Faster Than the Speed of Night" and "Holding Out for a Hero" as well as many other memorable hits. In March, the BBC announced that Tyler would represent the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest. In an interview with Celebs On Sunday, Tyler commented on turning down the chance to perform the title song for 1983's rival Bond film "Never Say Never Again". She then added that she would like the producers to consider her for an official film. "I wish they'd ask me again and give me a good song, I didn't like the song [Never Say Never Again] and it was the only one that never became a hit." Actor Ben Whishaw has briefly talked about the timeline for the next 007 adventure on Sunday's BAFTA TV Awards. He won Best Leading Actor for his portrayal as Richard II in Shakespeare last year.
"I’m finishing off this play that I’m doing in the West End and I’m sure there’s a couple of possibilities, but there’s nothing definite yet. More Bond, but we don’t even know when that’s going to happen, you never know. I’ve heard some things, but I can’t share. I thought it might be the end of this year but I’m not sure anymore." Ben Whishaw played the MI6 Quartermaster in "Skyfall" last year and is part of the supporting cast for the rest of Daniel Craig's tenure as James Bond. He, along with Naomi Harris and Ralph Fiennes are yet to be called up for Bond 24. (Although its pretty safe to assume that 'M' will feature in the next film) |
